I got my start with wire by building electronic cigarette coils out of kanthal in 2014.

Fast forward a decade to July of 2024, and a casual summer stroll lead me face first into the plate glass of a city bus stop. Nursing wounded pride, a shattered glasses frame, and a busted up face, I blindly hopped onto the next bus home.

Bursting through my apartment door, I proceeded to maniacally dig through the black hole posing as my bedroom closet until I found some old kanthal wire. It wasn't pretty, but a few hours later a mostly functional pair of glasses emerged and SAHBA was born.
